Reel Two to present at 8th International Pacific Rim Biotechnology Conference
Nov 1, 2002
Advanced text and data mining software company Reel Two will
show how machine learning technology enables researchers to link
structured gene data with published research and other unstructured
text during a presentation at the 8th International Pacific Rim
Biotechnology Conference, to be held in Auckland November 17-20.
Reel Two's Dr. Tony Smith will give a talk
entitled "Unstructured Machine Learning - Providing the Link between
Genetic Data and Published Research". His presentation will comprise a
concise review of machine learning techniques and examples of how
advanced machine learning is being applied by Reel Two to solve
critical information problems facing researchers and
clinicians. Examples will include Reel Two's Gene Ontology Knowledge
Discovery System and a number of bioinformatics applications.
